4 Weeks of THE PREP Body Beast Hybrid
My new hybrid workout schedule is HERE – 4 Weeks of THE PREP Body Beast Hybrid!
Most of you that have been following me over the years know that I am a big fan of Body Beast given my current goals for muscle hypertrophy to add lean mass, but I am also focused on promoting a low (healthy) body fat percentage and “functional” fitness performance. My experience with Body Beast has been excellent, but from my perspective it is lacking the cardio challenge I would like to see to further build well-rounded, balanced athletic endurance. As such, I have already created popular hybrids with Insanity Max:30 , HAMMER workouts by Sagi from Hammer & Chisel, 22 Minute Hard Corps, Core De Force, Shaun Week, Shift Shop, LIIFT4/AWOHL, Transform :20, 10 Rounds, 645, LIIFT MORE, Tough Mudder, Chop Wood Carry Water, and Dig Deeper! I also created an insane hybrid with the 6 Weeks of THE WORK program from the BODi pro-athlete trainer Amoila Cesar to add more cardio, speed, and functional fitness focus! The 6 Weeks of the Work is considered the hardest Beachbody program to date. It is so challenging that I wanted to create this new hybrid with Amoila’s intro program to THE WORK; 4 Weeks of THE PREP! You still get the benefit of Amoila’s cardio, speed, and functional fitness training in a shorter, less intense (but still challenging) format that prepares you for THE WORK or any other advanced program. It is a great hybrid to try before pressing play on 6 Weeks of THE WORK. This hybrid will be great for those training for a Tough Mudder or other competitive mud race to maximize strength, agility, and endurance during the obstacles and terrain! It can also be leveraged for other high intensity activities and training such as Crossfit.
4 Weeks of THE PREP Body Beast Hybrid Deconstructed
Body Beast focuses on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights, while 4 Weeks of THE PREP provides focus on developing elite functional speed, cardio, and athletic performance leveraging body weight and dumbbells to drive “conditioning spikes” to elevate heart rates. There are a lot of pull-up variations and the use of strength slides and resistance loops enhance the challenge. Although THE PREP is less intense than THE WORK, this program is still NO JOKE! I really like both programs a lot and they align very well in a hybrid format to get insane results. Amoila Cesar is a GREAT complement to Sagi Kalev in this hybrid. What I love about Sagi’s Body Beast program is that the workouts focus on one or two SPECIFIC muscle groups and force failure to grow (you know, like life in general!). Amoila also pushes you to fail from a total body cardio and compound strength intervals perspective, and fail you will (in a good way). That is why I was excited to create a 4 Weeks of THE PREP Body Beast Hybrid to maximize results for muscle gain with hypertrophy while promoting elite functional fitness. IT’S GAME TIME, BEAST UP!!
I am unaware of ANY 4 Weeks of THE PREP Body Beast workout schedule for these two programs yet and certainly none yet that have been vetted from personal experience with EVERY workout on the schedule. I have done that, unlike those “random generator” hybrid schedulers out there that are different every time (and typically unsafe!). In this hybrid all primary 24 THE PREP workouts are represented. These two programs are amazing on their own, but a 4 Weeks of THE PREP Body Beast Hybrid of the two allows you to build mass, get ripped, and add functional strength and endurance aligned in ONE schedule (while having fun)!
Nutrition is CRITICAL for getting the results you want with your fitness program and the targets need to be aligned with the clean eating system (Nutrition + Portion Fix recommended, but you may need to bump calories for mass gain depending on goals).
