As I always say in these hybrids, I am a big fan of Body Beast given my ongoing goals for muscle hypertrophy to add lean mass, but I am also focused on promoting a low (healthy) body fat percentage and “functional” fitness performance. My experience with Body Beast has been excellent, but from my perspective it is lacking the cardio challenge I would like to see to further build well-rounded, balanced athletic endurance. As such, I have already created popular hybrids with Insanity Max:30 , HAMMER workouts by Sagi from Hammer & Chisel22 Minute Hard Corps, Core De Force, Shaun Week, Shift Shop, LIIFT4/AWOHL, Transform :20, and 6 Weeks of The Work! However, I may actually be most excited about my latest hybrid creation with the new HIIT boxing and LIFT program from Joel Freeman called 10 Rounds!

 

Body Beast 10 Rounds Hybrid Deconstructed

 

Body Beast focuses on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights, while 10 Rounds provides focus on developing agility, endurance, power, core, and overall athletic performance leveraging boxing combos, defensive moves, and footwork. Oh, and there are 10 Rounds lifting days leveraged throughout the program with dumbbells and resistance loops so there are additional synergies with Body Beast. As such, after doing all 35 workouts from 10 Rounds I have realized that the program aligns well in a hybrid format with Body Beast to get killer results while having a lot of fun. This may actually be the most enjoyable hybrid I have ever created. I typically recommend doing a full program start-to-finish before considering a hybrid schedule, but this is one schedule that may make sense to hybrid from the beginning if you have serious mass goals and just looking for extra cardio. What I love about Sagi’s Body Beast program is that the workouts focus on one or two SPECIFIC muscle groups and force failure to grow (you know, like life in general!). Joel targets total body with 10 Rounds while also isolating muscle groups with weights to failure demonstrating strength progress to enhance performance in the boxing ring. The gains from 10 Rounds extend far beyond just boxing moves into general speed and endurance that will benefit your performance in most activities. That is why I was excited to create a Body Beast 10 Rounds Hybrid to maximize results for muscle gain with hypertrophy while promoting elite functional fitness in a fun way with boxing HIIT. The fight is on to BEAST UP!!

 

I am unaware of ANY Body Beast 10 Rounds workout schedule for these two programs yet (as of April 18, 2020, program just released to the public April 6) and certainly none yet that have been vetted from personal experience with EVERY workout on the schedule. I have done that, unlike those “random generator” hybrid schedulers out there that are different every time (and typically unsafe!). In this hybrid all primary 10 Rounds workouts are represented. These two programs are amazing on their own, but a Body Beast 10 Rounds Hybrid of the two allows you to build mass, get ripped, and add functional strength and endurance while having FUN aligned in ONE schedule!

  1. I am wanting to see the 10 rounds/Body Beast Hybrid. I have done a few of your hybrids and thinking of this one after I complete all of Lean Beast.
