LIIFT4 Body Beast AWOHL Hybrid
My new hybrid workout schedule is HERE – LIIFT4 Body Beast AWOHL Hybrid!
Most of you that have been following me over the years know that I am a big fan of Body Beast given my current goals for muscle hypertrophy to add lean mass, but I am also focused on promoting a low (healthy) body fat percentage and “functional” fitness performance. My experience with Body Beast has been excellent, but from my perspective it is lacking the cardio challenge I would like to see to further build well-rounded, balanced athletic endurance. As such, I have already created popular hybrids with Insanity Max:30 , HAMMER workouts by Sagi from Hammer & Chisel, 22 Minute Hard Corps, Core De Force, Shaun Week and Shift Shop. LIIFT4 was released and is close to perfection for me with overall focus on lifting, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and core in only 4 days per week and flexible nutrition! First, I have to say LIIFT4 will be great “as is” for most people. It is the closest program I have found to my interests, goals and lifestyle. My new hybrid schedule is with LIIFT4, Body Beast and A Week of Hard Labor (AWOHL)!!
LIIFT4 Body Beast AWOHL Hybrid Deconstructed
Body Beast and AWOHL focus on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights, while LIIFT4 provides focus on developing strength, speed, cardio and athletic performance leveraging body weight and dumbbells to LIFT – HIIT (LIIFT) for elevated heart rates. I really like all three programs a lot, to be honest, and after doing all 39 unique LIIFT4 workouts I have realized that the program would align well in a hybrid format with Body Beast and AWOHL.
I decided to create this hybrid for myself to add in some more resistance variation with my favorite lifting workouts – Body Beast and AWOHL. I added back one day of workouts each week, with 2 rest days per week still to facilitate recovery and your favorite activities. The hybrid is created leveraging the entire schedule from LIIFT4 since they are ALL unique workouts. As such, the hybrid ends up being a more traditional 3 month focus. The LIIFT4 weeks are broken up after each 2 week schedule that alternates LIIFT 50/50 and HIIT format for each muscle group. I also added in my favorite Body Beast TEMPO workouts to finish the hybrid STRONG! Enjoy!!
Joel Freeman is a GREAT complement to Sagi Kalev in this hybrid. This may easily be one of the most effective hybrids I have created to date. What I love about Sagi’s Body Beast program is that the workouts focus on one or two SPECIFIC muscle groups and force failure to grow (you know, like life in general!). Joel Freeman also pushes you to fail from a strength, HIIT and core perspective using fast pacing between sets and blocks plus burnouts. That is why I was excited to create a LIIFT4 Body Beast AWOHL Hybrid to maximize results for muscle gain with hypertrophy while promoting functional fitness. #LIIFT4LIFE – Whatever it takes!
I am unaware of ANY LIIFT4 Body Beast AWOHL workout schedule for these three programs yet (as of Sept 3, 2018) and certainly none yet that have been vetted from personal experience with EVERY workout on the schedule. I have done that, unlike those “random generator” hybrid schedulers out there that are different every time (and typically unsafe!). In this hybrid 35 unique LIIFT4 workouts are represented (including Stretch, Roll & Recover and B4 LIIFT4). These programs are amazing on their own, but a LIIFT4 Body Beast AWOHL Hybrid of the three allows you to build mass, get ripped and add functional strength and endurance aligned in ONE schedule (while having fun)!
