My new hybrid workout schedule is HERE – 6 Weeks of THE WORK Body Beast Hybrid!

 

Most of you that have been following me over the years know that I am a big fan of Body Beast given my current goals for muscle hypertrophy to add lean mass, but I am also focused on promoting a low (healthy) body fat percentage and “functional” fitness performance. My experience with Body Beast has been excellent, but from my perspective it is lacking the cardio challenge I would like to see to further build well-rounded, balanced athletic endurance. As such, I have already created popular hybrids with Insanity Max:30 , HAMMER workouts by Sagi from Hammer & Chisel22 Minute Hard Corps, Core De Force, Shaun Week, Shift Shop, LIIFT4/AWOHL, and Transform :20! However, the recent release of the 6 Weeks of THE WORK program from the new Beachbody pro-athlete trainer Amoila Cesar provides a great opportunity to add more cardio, speed, and functional fitness focus! The 6 Weeks of the Work is considered the hardest Beachbody program to date. This hybrid will be great for those training for a Tough Mudder or other competitive mud race to maximize strength, agility, and endurance during the obstacles and terrain! It can also be leveraged for other high intensity activities and training such as Crossfit.

 

6 Weeks of THE WORK Body Beast Hybrid Deconstructed

 

Body Beast focuses on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights, while 6 Weeks of THE WORK provides focus on developing elite functional speed, cardio, and athletic performance leveraging body weight and dumbbells to drive “conditioning spikes” to elevate heart rates. There are a lot of pull-up variations and the use of strength slides and resistance loops enhance the challenge. 6 Weeks of THE WORK is NO JOKE! I really like both programs a lot, to be honest, and after doing all 39 workouts from THE WORK I have realized that the program would align well in a hybrid format with Body Beast to get insane results. Amoila Cesar is a GREAT complement to Sagi Kalev in this hybrid. This may easily be the hardest hybrid I have created to date along with the Body Beast Transform :20 Hybrid. What I love about Sagi’s Body Beast program is that the workouts focus on one or two SPECIFIC muscle groups and force failure to grow (you know, like life in general!). Amoila also pushes you to fail from a total body cardio and compound strength intervals perspective, and fail you will (in a good way). That is why I was excited to create a 6 Weeks of THE WORK Body Beast Hybrid to maximize results for muscle gain with hypertrophy while promoting elite functional fitness. IT’S GAME TIME, BEAST UP!!

 

I am unaware of ANY 6 Weeks of THE WORK Body Beast workout schedule for these two programs yet (as of early Nov-2019) and certainly none yet that have been vetted from personal experience with EVERY workout on the schedule. I have done that, unlike those “random generator” hybrid schedulers out there that are different every time (and typically unsafe!). In this hybrid all primary 36 THE WORK workouts are represented. These two programs are amazing on their own, but a 6 Weeks of THE WORK Body Beast Hybrid of the two allows you to build mass, get ripped, and add functional strength and endurance aligned in ONE schedule (while having fun)!

 

Nutrition is CRITICAL for getting the results you want with your fitness program and the targets need to be aligned with the clean eating system (Nutrition + Portion Fix recommended, but you may need to bump calories for mass gain depending on goals).
