HYBRID WORKOUT PROGRAMS

I have created many Beachbody hybrid workout schedules since 2009 to leverage the strengths and benefits of multiple programs to enhance your overall results. I am proud to share that my hybrids have been downloaded thousands of times with amazing results and feedback worldwide. The Beachbody workouts are well-suited for hybrid combinations. In particular, I am a big fan of Body Beast given my ongoing goals for muscle hypertrophy to add lean mass with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights. I am also focused on promoting a low (healthy) body fat percentage and “functional” fitness performance. My experience with Body Beast has been excellent, but from my perspective it is lacking the cardio challenge (and yoga/stretch) that I would like to see to further build well-rounded, balanced athletic endurance. As such, I have created many popular Body Beast hybrids with the most challenging, complementary Beachbody workouts!

 

Body Beast Dig Deeper HYBRID

Body Beast focuses on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights. Dig Deeper provides extra focus on developing strength, power, speed, steady state cardio and functional performance leveraging body weight and dumbbells for elevated heart rates. The workouts in the Dig Deeper Collections implement the exact weightlifting methods that Shaun T used to redefine his physique and come back stronger than ever before to win bodybuilding competitions. Lifting includes muscular endurance, tempo and heavy weight low rep splits. The Body Beast workouts in this hybrid include the BEAST UP variations as well as both versions of BEAST: Abs. There is one scheduled rest day per week to facilitate recovery and your favorite steady state activities (e.g., yoga, biking, hiking, rowing, etc.). The hybrid is created leveraging the entire workout lists from both Body Beast and Dig Deeper, including bonuses, in only 8 weeks. This structure maintains muscle confusion while limiting plateaus in progress and performance to finish the hybrid STRONG! Enjoy!!

Body Beast Chop Wood Carry Water HYBRID

Body Beast focuses on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights, while Chop Wood Carry Water focuses on developing mobility, stability, strength, agility, endurance, and power via primal movement flow. Primal movement is ground-based, bodyweight movement in which you flow from one position to another, opening your body and using stabilizing muscles to help improve flexibility, mobility, and stability as you go. Chop Wood Carry Water is the first program dedicated to primal movement and flow, combined with supplemental weighted lifts, to enhance balance and coordination. Each week of the hybrid includes primal movement along with the weighted workouts to facilitate hypertrophy mechanisms. Ab and core work is added 2-3 days each week. The result is a killer hybrid that promotes better mobility and performance not just in your workouts, but also in everyday life. Body Beast Tough Mudder T-Minus 30 HYBRID

Tough Mudder T-Minus 30 is an excellent stand-alone program to prepare for mud races or even just promote general health and fitness challenge. With that said, I had great results during my Tough Mudder race prep incorporating heavy weights via Body Beast to generate additional strength and power, including grip strength. This Body Beast Tough Mudder T-Minus 30 hybrid will be great for those training for a Tough Mudder or other competitive mud race to maximize strength, flexibility, agility and endurance proficiency during the obstacles and terrain! In this hybrid all 24 Tough Mudder T-Minus 30 workouts are represented, including pull-up and chin-up routines. The T-Minus 30 run training is optional and involves short interval, long and recovery runs. This may easily be one of the most fun hybrids I have created to date. LIIFT MORE Insanity Max:30 HYBRID

LIIFT MORE has a comprehensive lifting focus combined with burnouts and periodic High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) plus core! LIIFT MORE aligns well in a hybrid format with Insanity Max:30, which focuses on cardio and Tabata intervals to increase strength, endurance and performance. This IS one of the hardest hybrid schedules I have ever created! From my perspective, LIIFT MORE is one of the best overall at-home, mass gain programs with resistance training, while Max:30 is the best cardio intensive program to truly push your limits with your performance in only 30-minutes per workout. These two workout programs are amazing on their own, but a LIIFT MORE Max:30 hybrid of the two allows you to build more mass and achieve cardio endurance with superior athletic performance aligned in ONE schedule!

Body Beast LIIFT MORE HYBRID

Body Beast focuses on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights. LIIFT MORE provides extra focus on developing strength, speed, cardio and athletic performance leveraging body weight and dumbbells to LIFT – HIIT (LIIFT) for elevated heart rates via burnouts and HIIT moves. There is more weighted focus with LIIFT MORE vs. LIIFT4. In this hybrid 50+ unique LIIFT MORE workouts are represented (including Upper and Lower Body Recovery). These programs are amazing on their own, but a Body Beast LIIFT MORE Hybrid allows you to build mass, get ripped and add functional strength and endurance aligned in ONE schedule (while having fun)!

645 Body Beast HYBRID

Body Beast focuses on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights, while 645 provides focus on developing mobility, stability, strength, agility, endurance, power, core, and overall athletic performance. I decided to ramp intensity in this hybrid by only selecting the most challenging 645 workouts based on my detailed review, primarily associated with Weeks 5-6 (Stage 2), 9-11 (Stage 3) and 13 (Stage 4 Performance). I also stacked the bonus 645 EMOM workouts to burnout the muscles to enhance gains while allowing flexibility in the schedule to select the 645 Corrective bonuses and Foam Rolling on “rest” days. These two programs are amazing on their own, but a 645 Body Beast Hybrid of the two allows you to correct muscle imbalances, build mass, get ripped, and add functional strength and endurance while having FUN aligned in ONE schedule!

Body Beast 10 Rounds HYBRID

Maximize results for muscle gain with hypertrophy while promoting elite functional fitness in a fun way with boxing HIIT! In this hybrid all primary 10 Rounds workouts are represented. These two programs are amazing on their own, but a Body Beast 10 Rounds Hybrid of the two allows you to build mass, get ripped, and add functional strength and endurance while having FUN aligned in ONE schedule!

6 Weeks of THE WORK Transform :20 HYBRID

The 6 Weeks of THE WORK provides focus on developing elite functional speed, cardio, and athletic performance leveraging body weight and dumbbells to drive “conditioning spikes” to elevate heart rates while Transform :20 uses a step to challenge your total body HIIT performance. T20 is Insanity on a step! You can adjust the number of risers on the step or remove the step altogether to control the difficulty of the workouts based on your fitness level and ultimate goals. This may easily be one of the most effective, challenging hybrids I have created to date. Shaun T and Amoila both push you to fail from a strength, HIIT and core perspective using fast pacing between sets and blocks plus “transformer” fit tests built within the workouts (T20). In this hybrid all primary 36 THE WORK workouts are represented. Body Beast focuses on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights, while 6 Weeks of THE WORK provides focus on developing elite functional speed, cardio, and athletic performance leveraging body weight and dumbbells to drive “conditioning spikes” to elevate heart rates. There are a lot of pull-up variations and the use of strength slides and resistance loops enhance the challenge. In this hybrid all primary 36 THE WORK workouts are represented. In this hybrid all 7 Shaun Week workouts are represented. I have modified the order of the Shaun Week workouts from the order Beachbody released by separating Insane Weights and Ripsanity resistance-based workouts to allow muscle groups more time to recover/grow and avoid overtraining. I also added 25 Abs throughout as doubles along with BEAST: Abs. These two workouts are amazing on their own, but a Body Beast Shaun Week Hybrid of the two allows you to build mass, get ripped and add functional strength and endurance aligned in ONE schedule (while having fun)!

Body Beast Core De Force HYBRID

In this hybrid all 14 Core De Force workouts are represented, but I lean toward the cardio “strength” routines to best align with Body Beast. These two workouts are amazing on their own, but a Body Beast Core De Force hybrid of the two allows you to build mass, get ripped and add functional strength and endurance aligned in ONE schedule (while having fun)!

22 Minute Hard Corps Body Beast HYBRID

Body Beast HAMMER HYBRID

The Hammer workouts in Hammer and Chisel provide a significant cardio challenge based on my previous heart rate analysis. These two workouts are amazing on their own, but a Body Beast Hammer hybrid of the two allows you to build more mass aligned in ONE schedule!

Body Beast Insanity Max:30 HYBRID

I have personally completed all of the workouts contained in my hybrid workout schedules, as shared in my detailed WORKOUT REVIEWS, unlike those “random generator” hybrid schedulers out there that are different every time (and typically unsafe!).
