My new hybrid workout schedule is HERE – Body Beast Dig Deeper Hybrid!

 

Most of you that have been following me over the years know that I am a big fan of Body Beast given my current goals for muscle hypertrophy to add lean mass, but I am also focused on promoting a low (healthy) body fat percentage and “functional” fitness performance. My experience with Body Beast has been excellent, but from my perspective it is lacking the cardio challenge I would like to see to further build well-rounded, balanced athletic endurance. As such, I have already created popular hybrids with MANY OTHER BEACHBODY PROGRAMS! Dig Deeper has a comprehensive lifting focus for body recomposition combined with steady state cardio plus core engagement throughout with flexible nutrition! Lifting includes muscular endurance, tempo and heavy weight low rep splits. Although Dig Deeper primarily involves weights (more than most BODi programs), there are HIIT and burnout components to enhance the cardio challenge in the routines. First, I have to say Dig Deeper will be great “as is” for most people and it is one of my favorite programs. It is now the closest program I have found to my interests, goals and lifestyle, similar to Body Beast and LIIFT MORE. My new hybrid schedule is with Dig Deeper and Body Beast!!

 

Body Beast Dig Deeper Hybrid Deconstructed

 

Body Beast focuses on strength and mass gain with muscle-specific challenges via dynamic set training using weights. As mentioned, Dig Deeper provides extra focus on developing strength, power, speed, steady state cardio and functional performance leveraging body weight and dumbbells for elevated heart rates. The workouts in these Collections implement the exact weightlifting methods that Shaun T used to redefine his physique and come back stronger than ever before to win bodybuilding competitions. I really like both programs a lot and after doing all 24 unique Dig Deeper workouts I have realized that the program would align well in a hybrid format with Body Beast.

 

I decided to create this hybrid for myself to add in some more resistance variation with my favorite lifting workouts – Body Beast and Dig Deeper. The Body Beast workouts in this hybrid include the BEAST UP variations as well as both versions of BEAST: Abs. There is one scheduled rest day per week to facilitate recovery and your favorite steady state activities (e.g., yoga, biking, hiking, rowing, etc.). The hybrid is created leveraging the entire workout lists from both Body Beast and Dig Deeper, including bonuses, in only 8 weeks. This structure maintains muscle confusion while limiting plateaus in progress and performance to finish the hybrid STRONG! Enjoy!!

 

Shaun T is a GREAT complement to Sagi Kalev in this hybrid. This may be one of the most effective hybrids I have created to date. What I love about Sagi’s Body Beast program is that the workouts focus on one or two SPECIFIC muscle groups and force failure to grow (you know, like life in general!). Shaun T also pushes you to failure from a strength, HIIT and core perspective using fast pacing between sets and blocks plus burnouts. That is why I was excited to create a Body Beast Dig Deeper Hybrid to maximize results for muscle gain with hypertrophy while promoting functional fitness.

 

I am unaware of ANY Body Beast Dig Deeper workout schedule for these programs yet (as of March 2024) and certainly none yet that have been vetted from personal experience with EVERY workout on the schedule. I have done that, unlike those “random generator” hybrid schedulers out there that are different every time (and typically unsafe!). In this hybrid 24 unique Dig Deeper workouts are represented. These programs are amazing on their own, but a Body Beast Dig Deeper Hybrid allows you to build mass, get ripped and add functional strength and endurance aligned in ONE schedule (while having fun)! Nutrition plan for this hybrid is critical and will depend on your specific goals!

 

Nutrition is CRITICAL for getting the results you want with your fitness program and the targets need to be aligned with the clean eating system (Nutrition + Portion Fix recommended, but you may need to bump calories for mass gain depending on goals).
