P90X2 V-Sculpt Review

How Do I Get Ripped?

Started the week off right this morning with P90X2 V-Sculpt. This was the last workout I had left to review from P90X2. I have now done all workouts, some more than once, and I can honestly say that I am a big fan of P90X2. Almost every workout leverages core strength and balance by exposing your body to instability from one-leg foundation, med balls and / or stability ball movements. P90X2 is a great progression from P90X and takes your performance to the next level. My favorite workouts are Chest/Back/Balance, V-Sculpt and P.A.P. Upper. Ha. You can tell I enjoy the pullups and upper body workouts. I was rather disappointed by X2 Shoulders and Arms since most moves are performed on one leg limiting the weight that can be lifted, however, you can modify by keeping both feet on the ground and ripping off heavier weight (Tony even does this at the end).

With regard to P90X2 V-Sculpt, awesome workout. This one is in my top 3 from X2 for sure. Some new variations of pullups and innovative bicep moves on med balls, renegade style and leveraging the resistance bands. Cool stuff. I enjoyed the around the world pull-ups, med ball renegade curl, wide leg row twist and roman band curl. The “21 Pull-up” was a great series hitting 7 each of lower, upper and full-range pullups in succession. I did well today. I used the new Beachbody E&E Energy and Endurance pre-workout formula again and noted a significant increase in energy and focus, especially pumping out the last few reps for curls and pullups. Shakeology accountability – Choc-Orange – 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology, ½ cup orange juice, ½ cup water and ice to taste. Just what I needed! Rage. Become a Machine.
