How Do I Get Ripped?

Well, here we are… beginning the second full week of 2011! Hard to believe. So, what are YOUR New Year’s Resolutions? Actually, I prefer to call them DECISIONS. You have to decide to commit to your initiatives this year and be consistent in the execution of the deliverables required to be successful. You CAN do this! Success one day at a time leads to ultimate success over time, whatever that means to you and your family. Celebrating your small successes each day will help motivate and inspire you to stay focused on your New Year’s decisions long past just the first few days or months of 2011. 

How Do I Get Ripped?

Let’s be more specific. You are reading this blog post so you likely have some interest in fitness and nutrition. Any good “resolution” or decision related to your wellness initiative involves a solid workout program AND disciplined nutrition (including proper supplementation, see MY CURRENT SUPPLEMENT PLAN). Of course, the workout regiment can include any combination of Beachbody Programs that can be done at home or schedules that can be completed at the gym. I personally prefer to work out at home, although I have gradually expanded capability of my home gym to get the benefits of a range of weights, accessories and equipment. With that said, I wanted to focus this post on the importance of disciplined nutrition and mention specific strategies available to help stay on track.

So when you work with your Team Beachbody Coach to define your nutrition and supplement plan, it will be critical to understand how calories, macronutrient ratios, nutrient timing and supplements can be tailored to achieve your goals. You can work very hard with your workout program, but if your nutrition is not focused and consistent you will not maximize your results. In extreme cases, all of your hard work can be for nothing. I recommend using an online nutrition-tracking program to help determine your current state of nutrition and then leverage capabilities to dial in your future state intake.
